Which menu languages can you get?
The number of menu languages depends on the model — between 25 and 32 on the cameras we support. A camera from Japan usually shows just English and Japanese. After setup, your Language menu shows the full list for your model, which you’ll find on its model page.

Languages that depend on the model
Vietnamese, Hindi, Malay, Indonesian, Persian, Hebrew and Brazilian Portuguese are on many Canon and Sony models. Each model page shows the exact list — not sure about yours? Send us the model and we’ll check for free.
The languages people ask for most
English on cameras from Japan, German and French across Europe, Arabic in the Gulf, Russian and Ukrainian, Polish and Czech, Korean on compacts — and Hebrew in Israel, on the models that have it.
Switching language after setup
Go to Menu → Setup → Language and pick any language on the list. The menus change straight away, and you can switch back to English or Japanese whenever you like. There’s nothing to install per language — one session adds your model’s whole list.
Finding the exact list for your model
Every model page on our site lists the languages you’ll get. Sony cameras have the longest lists (up to 32); the EOS M3, M5, M6, M10 and M100 have the shortest (25). If your menu still shows fewer languages than the model page after setup, get in touch.
Frequently asked questions
Is every language available on every model?+
No. The 25 core languages are on every supported model; Vietnamese, Hindi, Malay, Indonesian, Persian, Hebrew and Brazilian Portuguese depend on the model. Check your model page before you order.
Do Hebrew and Arabic display right to left?+
Yes — the camera shows them the way Canon or Sony designed them for that model. Arabic is on every supported model; Hebrew and Persian only on some.
Can I add just one language?+
Setup adds your model’s whole list at once. Afterwards you simply choose the one you want to use.
Which language do Slovak photographers usually pick?+
Czech — it is available on every camera we support and reads naturally for Slovak speakers.

How to Add Hebrew to a Canon or Sony Camera Menu
Lots of photographers in Israel buy their camera in Japan or as a grey import, then find no Hebrew under Language. On many Canon and Sony models we can add it. It isn’t a file you download or copy onto the SD card — we add it over USB.

Bought a Canon in Japan or from a grey importer, and Menu → Setup → Language shows only English and Japanese? Nothing is broken. The camera simply has firmware for the Japanese market.
