Who we are
MenuLang Unlock runs menulangunlock.com and helps photographers add menu languages to their cameras. Contact: support@menulangunlock.com.
What we collect
When you send the contact form we receive your email address, camera model, firmware version (if given), message, the language you were browsing in, and your privacy consent. Live chat runs on Tawk.to, spam protection on Cloudflare Turnstile, and our host Cloudflare may keep technical logs (IP address, browser type, time) for security and delivery.
Why we use it
To answer your message, check whether your camera is supported, help with the setup, handle payment, stop spam and abuse, and improve our guides. Under GDPR we rely on our legitimate interest in running the service and answering requests, and on steps you ask us to take before an agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep contact and support records only as long as we need them for support, accounting, disputes and legal duties. After that we delete or anonymise them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you live in the EU, EEA or UK, you can ask to see, correct, delete, restrict or take a copy of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. To use these rights, write to support@menulangunlock.com.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents can ask what personal information we hold and ask us to delete or correct it. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Send requests to support@menulangunlock.com.
Data outside your country
Our providers (Formspree, Tawk.to, Cloudflare) may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses these providers offer.
Cookies
The site is mostly static. Cloudflare Turnstile and, if enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics may use cookies or similar technology for security and anonymous statistics. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.
Children
The service is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use trusted providers and HTTPS, but no transfer over the internet is completely secure. Please do not send card details through the contact form.
Service providers
We work with Formspree (forms), Tawk.to (chat) and Cloudflare (hosting, Turnstile, optional analytics). Their own privacy policies cover the data they process for us.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version, and important changes will be posted here.
