יו-אס-בי setup for menu languages
The setup runs from your computer over יו-אס-בי. You need a data-capable cable, a supported operating system, and the correct connection mode before MenuLang Unlock can align your language menu with international models.
Cable and connection basics
Use a יו-אס-בי cable that supports data transfer — not charge-only. Connect directly to the computer when possible; avoid unpowered hubs during the session. On PowerShot G7 X Mark III and similar compacts, use the יו-אס-בי mode that exposes PTP/MTP or the mode our instructions specify. EOS bodies may need EOS Utility compatibility mode turned off if it grabs the connection.
ווינדוס 10 and 11
Install קנון’s יו-אס-בי מנהל התקן if ווינדוס prompts you. Allow MenuLang Unlock when security software asks. Close כלי מצלמת הרשת EOS, חיבור לייטרום, and any other app that locks the camera. Keep the battery above 50% or use an AC adapter where supported.
מק OS 12 and later
Grant יו-אס-בי permissions if מק OS asks. Quit לכידת תמונות and dismiss תמונות auto-import dialogs that open on connect. On מעבדי Apple Silicon מקs, use native ARM גרסאות where our instructions say so. Same battery guidance as ווינדוס — stable power reduces the chance of interruption.
After you connect: the setup session
Once the camera is connected and recognised, follow the step list we send after compatibility approval. Sessions usually finish in under 15 minutes. Then open תפריט → הגדרות → שפה and confirm Hebrew, English, or your target language appears. If the list is still short, contact support before trying again.
